1. Can I return/exchange my gift item or my bonus item?
Unfortunately, if the item has already been mailed we cannot offer a refund. If the item has not been mailed, we can cancel the order and give you a full refund or help you select another gift item. Please note that you will see both a refund of the old charge and a new charge on your credit card in cases of changes to the order.
2. Can I make a donation and receive the bonus gift myself?
By entering your personal information in the "Send to" recipient field of the donation form, you'll be letting us know that you want to receive the bonus item.
3. I want to make a gift donation but don't want the bonus gift?
That's ok — not everyone does. You can elect not to include a bonus gift for your friend or loved one if you choose. There is an option on the donation form where you can choose to make a donation without receiving a bonus gift.
4. Where does my money go?
Items in this catalog are representative of a product within current Save the Children's program areas and your gift is a donation to our many programs and not necessarily to a specific project. This enables us to combine your gift with those of other caring donors to provide tangible solutions that help entire communities overcome poverty and achieve self-reliance.

6. Will I get a confirmation that my gift has been received in the field?
No, unfortunately this is administratively and cost prohibitive, but rest assured that your gifts will benefit the areas described in our catalog.
7. How secure is my information over the web?
All online transactions to Save the Children are done on a secure server. This means that information entered on the transaction page is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) before transmission. On secure pages, a "closed" lock symbol is displayed at the bottom part of your browser screen and the website address in the bar at the top of the browser screen starts with an "https" instead of an "http".
Our site is tested and certified daily to pass the "McAfee Secure" Security Scan. To help address concerns about possible hacker access to your confidential data and the safety of visiting this site, the "live" McAfee Secure mark appears only when this site passes the daily McAfee Secure tests. 8. The item I want is sold out; will you have more?
Unfortunately at this time we are not able to replenish gift items once they are depleted as the available inventory is based on the needs of the country at this particular time. You may select another gift or if you prefer, you can make a gift contribution to where the need is greatest, which will support all the work that we do to help children in need in the United States and around the world. If the situation occurs where donations exceed what is needed for a particular item, Save the Children will redirect funds to a similar item or program to help people in need.
9. Do you offer expedited shipping?
Unfortunately, we do not offer expedited shipping for gift cards or bonus items. You can take advantage of our eCards to let your gift recipient know about the gift you've given and that items are on their way. We do offer expedited shipping for child sponsorship welcome kits. 10. Will I receive a receipt for my gift and is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes, your receipt will be mailed to you shortly after we process your donation if you order by mail or phone. Donations made online will be receipted via email. 11. How does it work?
First, choose a loved one or friend to honor. Select a gift and make your donation online or by phone. We will send your gift recipient a free personalized card directly to your honoree featuring the exact gift item chosen in their name.
When you give a gift donation in support of where the need is greatest, we will send the card to your recipient along with the associated bonus gift.
12. What will my gift recipient receive?
Your gift recipient will receive a beautiful gift card explaining how your gift will benefit children in need. The gift card is suitable for display as a reminder that your gift is helping children in need. If your order is in support of where the need is greatest, the bonus gift will ship with a gift card that explains why the gift given in their name is so special.
13. Can I send a gift from the catalog to my sponsored child?
No, you cannot send a catalog gift item to your sponsored child. The gift items in the catalog are purchased for the communities where Save the Children works. Save the Children has learned that one of the most effective ways of helping children is to combine gifts from donors rather than giving them directly to your sponsored child. In addition, the bonus gift items in the catalog ship to continental U.S. addresses only.
14. What is included in the price of the gift?
Included in the gift amount is the cost of the item/service plus any administrative costs associated with delivering the item and/or service.
15. How quickly will my gift cards be sent?
Your cards and bonus gift items will be sent within 3 business days and your gift recipient should receive them within 7 to 10 days of your purchase.
16. Can I have bonus gift items shipped outside of the United States?
No, unfortunately we can only ship within the continental United States. Mailing outside the U.S. can become costly so we are not offering that option.
17. Can I choose to which country I want my gift to go?
No, unfortunately you cannot designate to which country your gift will go.
18. I don't live in the U.S. but I'd like to order a gift for someone who does. Is this possible?
Yes. If you are an international donor and would like to place a catalog order for someone in the U.S., please call us at 18.104.22.16830 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST.
19. Can I pay by check?
If you're placing your order by phone or via our website, we can only accept credit card payments. Unfortunately, we are not set up to transfer funds electronically through your bank at this time. 20. What will the gift package look like?
The bonus gift items will be delivered in either a padded envelope or a box made of corrugated materials. The box and envelope will have your return address printed in the upper left corner so your recipient will know this gift is coming from you.
21. Do you have gift wrapping options?
No, we do not offer gift wrapping options at this time.
